Leave it to Larry Flynt and the gang at Hustler to come up with some superb magazine covers as part of the Hustler Humor collection. For 20 years, they created humorous covers which represented the heartbeat and feelings of society at the time, or perhaps more the view of Larry Flynt himself. Although indeed humorous, they are filled with political satire. There's an obvious dislike for president at the time, Ronald Reagan. One interesting cover of note is that of the July 1980 issue, which depicts Uncle Sam, sticking it to a Saudi at the gas pump. Interesting that 30 years later we're experiencing the same issues with oil all over again, and despite our smug response to the oil crisis of the 70s, the Saudis seem to be having the last laugh these days. Also look for other pop culture references like the Star Wars inspired cover. I won't spoil any more of them. Have a look. I hope you enjoy them. It's interesting to see how a simple cover can convey a message from a particular point
